Orange, NJ – Dionne Warwick, one of the most celebrated vocalists of all time, has been honored by the Global Directory of Who’s Who for her outstanding contributions to music and philanthropy. Born on December 12, 1940, in Orange, New Jersey, Ms. Warwick earned her B.A. in Music from Hartt College of Music before launching a remarkable musical journey. Her career began in 1961 when she was discovered by the iconic songwriting duo Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Her first hit, “Don’t Make Me Over,” arrived in 1962, sparking a string of classics that would define an era, including “Walk on By,” “I Say a Little Prayer,” and “Alfie.”
Ms. Warwick has amassed an extraordinary legacy, with over 60 charted hit songs and more than 100 million records sold worldwide.
